The ending of the Charmed reboot was only the beginning of a massive online feud, sparked by one particular comment.

Following the airing of the reboot's finale, Curtis Kheel, one of the writers for the original Charmed series took to Twitter to share some of his thoughts, starting with how he envisioned the three original stars defeating the new actresses.

His Tweet read: 'As an original #Charmed writer, I can tell u what happened next: Piper, Phoebe & Paige vanquished the 3 imposters right after they invaded Halliwell Manor. Then @H_Combs blew up the portal to that other universe & quipped: 'We wish them well.' #seriesfinale #CharmedReunionMovie

In the final moments of the reboot finale, the writers had tried to bring the old and new series together by having the new witches arrive at Halliwell Manor, and Kheel was having none of it, sharing his vision and referring to the new actresses as 'imposters.'

Unsurprisingly, his Tweet received immediate backlash, with the official account for the reboot named 'charmedwriters' responding that 'Unlike with the OG version of the franchise, we had a strict 'no assholes' hiring policy in the writer's room.'

Kheel's petty response was : ICYMI: I was called an 'asshole' for defending our work. That's their official statement. Yep - They're keeping it classy right to the very end!'

The creators of the original series, as well as some of the stars, shared Kheel's distaste towards the reboot. Holly Marie Combs, who played Piper in the original, commented on the marketing of the reboot as the 'fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series' and how it made it sound like the original wasn't empowering women.

The majority of original Charmed fans felt the same way that Kheel did, and he reposted their supportive tweets, like '99% of these comments are agreeing with @curtiskheel. That should tell you something.'

Kheel tweeted that the lesson from it all was to 'respect the original property and the creators who came before you, otherwise, you are setting yourself up for failure' referring to other comments he made saying that he felt the reboot was taking ideas from the original, all the while pretending the OG didn't exist.

As a writer he naturally came up with a brilliant line, to stir the pot: 'Freshly inked into the #BookofShadows. Recently used spell: 'To Vanquish Imposter Witches: Copycats are not the same. You have tarnished our good name. Claimed you were Charmed, but you were not. Gone for good, and now forgot.'

The feud ended as quickly as it began, as Twitter users moved on to the next topic, and Kheel has since left Twitter, but not before leaving his original Tweet pinned to his profile. It seems he has no intention of taking back anything he said, as read in one of his final Tweets:

'P.S. - My #CharmedFeud was hilarious. I regret nothing. #OGCharmedForever'
