Let's be honest, they have annoyed you at least once throughout the show's five seasons!

Since its premiere in 2019, Virgin River has portrayed a number of interesting characters. Over the course of the Netflix show's five-year run, we've come to like most of them. But there are characters who are simply unlikable. While Charmaine and Hope may be the first two names that come to mind when it comes to Virgin River, there are other characters that fans hate even more.

After all, the two ladies in question are written to irritate us, whereas the following five characters are simply unbearable at times.

Lark

The newest addition to Virgin River, this character has failed to win over the audience despite her rather likeable demeanor. While viewers' animosity toward Lark can be attributed to her lack of screen time and unexplored personality, the show's fans generally see her as a distraction for Brady after his breakup with Brie. As a result, people can't bring themselves to like her.

Brie Sheridan

Jack's sister is indeed affable and kind, yet she's indecisive and inconsiderate when it comes to other people. Her fiery romance with Dan Brady was many fans' favorite love arc, but she suddenly had a change of heart and left the man as if nothing had ever happened between them. As a result, many viewers have come to think of Brie as a manipulator who takes advantage of people without giving anything in return.

Lizzie

One of the older characters on Virgin River, Lizzie has irritated viewers since her debut in Season 2. She's extremely narrow-minded and oblivious to her own privilege, which is why she treats people and their problems like minor inconveniences. Also, Lizzie is as fickle as the wind – no wonder people struggle to like her.

John 'Preacher' Middleton

The ultimate good guy of the entire show, Preacher is super annoying in his own right. He's prone to self-pity, stunningly self-conscious, and, most importantly, seemingly immature. John wears his heart on his sleeve, and while that might seem like a good thing, it leads him to get his heart broken many, many times on the show. Naturally, the viewers are annoyed and want the man to be a little bit more responsible.

Mel Monroe

Don't be surprised to see this character on the list! Virgin River's lead has a lot of reprimandable traits that drive many fans crazy. For instance, Mel is pretty delusional in her approach to life. Then, she's smug. And last but not least, Melinda is pretty duplicitous, ridiculing other people's faults that she has herself.
