A prequel to The Hunger Games, a gripping disaster movie, and the biggest blockbuster of 2024.

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 2 in Los Angeles. Traditionally, not only popular artists compete for the top music award, but several categories are dedicated to soundtracks for movies and TV series.

1. Challengers, 2024

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are the odds-on favorites for the award. The two-time Oscar winners have already won a Golden Globe for the sports drama Challengers.

The plot of Challengers revolves around promising tennis player Tashi Duncan, who leaves the sport after an injury and becomes a coach for her husband, Art Donaldson. In an upcoming tournament, he will face Patrick Zweig: they were once close friends, and Tashi initially chose Patrick.

2. Deadpool & Wolverine, 2024

Among the Grammy nominees, there was also room for blockbusters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadpool & Wolverine is nominated in the category of Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

The story of the adventures of mercenary Wade Wilson and mutant Logan was also nominated for a Golden Globe. The superhero film became the second highest-grossing film of 2024.

3. Twisters, 2024

The disaster movie Twisters tells the story of meteorology student Kate Carter. The girl invented a way to fight a tornado, but an attempt to test it turned into a tragedy. Several years later, Kate teams up with popular tornado hunter Tyler Owens to stop a powerful tornado.

It is worth noting that the film's accolades include a Golden Globe nomination in the new Cinematic and Box Office Achievements category.

4. Saltburn, 2023

Saltburn has already received two Golden Globe nominations and five BAFTA nominations.

The plot revolves around a quiet young man, Oliver Quick. When he meets a popular student, Felix, his life changes radically: after receiving an invitation to spend the summer at the family estate, Oliver finds himself in high society, and he is willing to do anything to break into it.

5. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, 2023

The prequel to the Hunger Games franchise told viewers about the youth of Coriolanus Snow. Before becoming the despotic president of Panem, the young man participated in the 10th Hunger Games as a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird of District 12.

Not surprisingly, the movie, whose main character is involved in music, is competing for a Grammy. The song Can't Catch Me Now will be competing for the win. One of its co-writers was pop star Olivia Rodrigo.
