Six episodes and a jaw-dropping cliffhanger later, fans are demanding a Chad Powers Season 1 Episode 7 release date and time — but is a seventh installment even coming, or is the next snap actually season 2?

Quick gut check for anyone refreshing their Hulu queue: if you are hunting for Chad Powers Season 1, Episode 7, you can stop scrolling. Here is where things actually stand after that finale.

The short version

  • There is no Season 1, Episode 7. Season 1 is a six-episode season and that is the whole run.
  • The finale, titled '6TH QUARTER', dropped on October 28, 2025.
  • Season 2 is not officially renewed yet. Co-creator Michael Waldron told The Wrap he is game to continue: see quote below.
  • You can stream Season 1 on Hulu in the U.S.
  • Main cast: Glen Powell, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Steve Zahn, and Perry Mattfeld.

So... is there a Season 1, Episode 7?

Nope. The first season of the sports comedy drama ends at six episodes. That last chapter lands a pretty brazen cliffhanger, which is exactly why everyone is asking about a seventh episode that does not exist. If you want answers about Chad Powers/Russ Holliday and his crew, you are waiting on a second season.

Will there be a Season 2?

Not yet. Hulu has not announced a renewal as of now. That said, the people behind the show are clearly open to it. Co-creator Michael Waldron told The Wrap:

"If folks dig it, we will make more [episodes]."

That is about as straightforward as it gets: if the audience shows up, they will suit up again.

What the show actually is

The premise is delightfully ridiculous in a very football-movie way: eight years after a brutal, career-torching mistake nukes his promising college QB arc, Russ Holliday tries to salvage the dream by inventing an alter ego, Chad Powers. As Chad, he strolls on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish as this oddball, secretly gifted quarterback and tries to rebuild everything he blew up. It is a character piece wrapped in a sports comedy, and the Season 1 ender makes it clear there is plenty more trouble (and yardage) left if they get the green light.

Cast-wise, Glen Powell leads the huddle, with Frankie A. Rodriguez, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Steve Zahn, and Perry Mattfeld making up a notably fun ensemble.

Where to watch

Season 1 is streaming on Hulu. If you are in the U.S., you know the deal: big library, a lot of movies and series, and this one is right there waiting if you have not started yet or need to revisit that finale to parse the cliffhanger.
