The show didn't have any unquestionably good characters, but the siblings' mother clearly came close.

The final episode of Succession was incredibly powerful, revealing the obnoxious essence of each of the series' characters. But however unpleasant these characters might seem, the creators' aim was to show that they were just deeply traumatized people corrupted by the cruel corporate culture.

And of all the other characters, fans find that the most likable was Logan Roy's second wife and mother of the siblings — Caroline.

While Caroline is a narcissistic woman who doesn't know how to properly show affection to her children, it was obvious that she does care for them deeply, and some viewers saw her actions in the last episode as a partial redemption.

When Kendall, possessed by another manic phase, wanted to tank the deal with GoJo once and for all, he immediately rushed to his mother's villa to 'talk sense' to his brother Roman. There he found both Rom and their sister, Shiv, who had arrived just before Ken to talk to her brother.

Confident in himself and his own success, Kendall needed a coalition against GoJo, so his brother and sister's vote was incredibly important to him. Only it turned out that Roman had already lost the plot and decided to give up, so Ken started pressuring him.

This is where Caroline came into the spotlight. Much to viewers' surprise, she acted as a mediator in the scene, resolving the conflict in a diplomatic and, for the first time on the show, very motherly way. Caroline's motivation for the intervention was also understandably human, as she simply wanted to spend the day together with her children and tried her best to preserve the precarious family idyll.

Fortunately, Caroline succeeded in calming down her children, as they proceeded to discuss the deal in a more friendly manner, eventually finding common ground. More than that, they even managed to spend the evening as normal siblings, not corporate sharks ready to tear each other's throats out.

Many fans also noticed that the T-shirt Rom was wearing in the scene was a kids' shirt from Walmart, making the interaction between the siblings and their mom even more tender and family-like.

As for Caroline, she managed to prove that her children from her previous marriage are still a big part of her life, and she is ready to provide support and comfort them when they need it. Of course, she is still a self-centered woman who appears to be more preoccupied with her new husband, but she does have a motherly heart after all, and her redemption was clearly complete with that scene in the Succession finale.
