Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is almost here, locked and loaded with a confirmed roster of 24 playable Operators at launch. Can it go toe-to-toe with Battlefield 6? The showdown is imminent.

Black Ops is back. The launch is almost here, and yes, the full day-one Operator lineup for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is locked. If you care who you drop in as on day one (and how fast you can unlock them), I have the list. Also: release date, platforms, and a couple of business-y wrinkles worth knowing.

The launch roster (and how to unlock each Operator)

A few of these are available the second you boot up, several unlock as you level, and a handful are locked behind the Vault Edition. More will almost certainly get added down the line, but here is exactly who you can use at launch and what it takes to get them:

  • Anika Grimm: Unlocks at Player Level 7
  • Axel Vermaak: Unlocks at Player Level 34
  • Cird Jurado: Unlocked immediately
  • Chloe Lynch: Vault Edition exclusive
  • David Mason: Unlocked immediately
  • Emma Kagan: Unlocks at Player Level 40
  • Eric Samuels: Unlocked immediately
  • Gideon Falkner: Unlocks at Player Level 13
  • Leilani Tupuola: Unlocked immediately
  • Mike Harper: Vault Edition exclusive
  • Nora Anderson: Unlocked immediately
  • Reaper EWR-3: Vault Edition exclusive
  • Slade Barrick: Unlocks at Player Level 28
  • T.E.D.D.: Vault Edition exclusive
  • Wei Lin: Unlocks at Player Level 19
  • Zaveri: Unlocked immediately
  • Dr. Edward Richtofen: Unlocked immediately
  • Dr. Elizabeth Grey: Unlocked immediately
  • Grigori Weaver: Unlocked immediately
  • Nikolai Belinski: Unlocked immediately
  • Tank Dempsey: Unlocked immediately
  • Takeo Masaki: Unlocked immediately
  • Mackenzie Carver: Unlocked immediately
  • Maya Aguinaldo: Unlocked immediately

Release date

Mark it: November 14, 2025. The wait is basically over.

Platforms

Black Ops 7 is launching on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC. No Switch 2 confirmation yet. Given Microsoft has a 10-year agreement to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo hardware, I would not be shocked if it lands there eventually, especially since it is still targeting older consoles anyway.

Last-gen is still in the mix (for better or worse)

Activision has not dropped PS4 and Xbox One support. Personally, I think that puts a ceiling on how far the current-gen versions can push things, but I get the business logic.

Game Pass situation

Yes, Black Ops 7 is headed to Game Pass Ultimate. Just know that if you want in on day one, expect to pay a little extra for that immediate access tier.

One more thing

Will this go toe-to-toe with Battlefield 6? We will see. For now, the more relevant news is the decent day-one Operator spread, with a few fan-favorite names tucked into that Vault Edition if you are chasing nostalgia.
