Leaked by Netflix Netherlands and spotted by What’s on Netflix, Bridgerton season 4 is set to drop in two parts: Part 1 on January 29, 2026 and Part 2 on February 26, 2026.

Well, Netflix may have tried to keep Bridgerton season 4 under wraps a little longer, but the internet did what the internet does. A now-deleted post from Netflix Netherlands appears to have spilled the release plan, and yes, it looks like another split season is coming sooner than most of us expected.

The leak: dates, split, and the usual Netflix dance

Per that accidental Instagram reveal, Bridgerton season 4 is aiming for a two-part rollout: part 1 on January 29, 2026, and part 2 on February 26, 2026. That mirrors the season 3 strategy exactly. Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed those dates yet, and it’s not clear when they will, but the pattern checks out. Consider this your pencil-in-the-calendar moment, not permanent ink… yet.

Whose love story is it this time?

Season 4 finally slides Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) into the spotlight. He’s the second-oldest Bridgerton and, up to now, solidly in the charming-but-commitment-averse lane. That gets complicated at Lady Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball, where Benedict gets swept up by a mysterious 'Lady in Silver.'

The twist: she’s later revealed to be Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid with a past she’s not broadcasting and ambitions of her own. It’s a classic Bridgerton setup with teeth: secret identities, class barriers, and a hero who’s suddenly not as allergic to feelings as he thought.

The season is also set to peek behind the jaw-dropping excess of the ton’s mansions and actually show more of the people who keep those gilded households functioning. That’s a smart (and overdue) angle for a show that loves opulence as much as it loves angst.

New players, returning favorites

Alongside Benedict and Sophie, season 4 brings in a fresh family with some very pointed agendas and the usual parade of familiar faces:

  • Lady Araminta Gun (Katie Leung) - a twice-widowed aristocrat arriving with plans and polish
  • Rosamund (Michelle Mao) - Araminta’s older daughter, aggressively marriage-minded and eyeing Benedict
  • Posy (Isabella Wei) - the younger sister, more chatter, less spotlight, and notably freer in spirit
  • Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) - back in the mix, with her friendship with Eloise still a thread to watch
  • Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Bridgerton (Simone Ashley) - the Viscount and Viscountess return
  • Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) and Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) - court and ton power players, as ever

The bigger picture

Netflix has already renewed Bridgerton for seasons 5 and 6. Season 5 is expected to start production in spring 2026, though that’s about all anyone is saying for now. Translation: the Bridgerton conveyor belt is humming along for the foreseeable future.

Bottom line

If the leak holds, we’re getting Benedict’s love story in two bursts across early 2026, with part 1 on January 29 and part 2 on February 26. It’s an on-brand move for Netflix and a promising setup for a character the show has been slow-burning for years. Just remember: Netflix hasn’t officially stamped those dates yet. But if you’re a planner, maybe keep late January and late February open for a return to the ton.
