'Married Kate is so beautiful.'

Netflix's Tudum has become a disappointment for many Bridgerton fans, as it provided neither a release date for the new season nor a trailer or a short clip. All the fans got from the event were four glow-up sneak pics of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton — and that's it. Well, life can be unfair, but at least the stunning Nicola Coughlan was there herself to brighten up the disappointment.

The captain of the Polin ship was enthusiastic about the upcoming Season 3 and even dropped some crumbs on the part of the Bridgerverse fandom that she has very little to do with. Yes, Nicola spoke of Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton, the main romantic pairing of Bridgerton's previous season — Kanthony.

When asked if she'd shared any scenes with Simone Ashley, the actress who played Kate and passed the protagonist baton to Nicola after Season 2, Coughlan didn't miss a beat in expressing her excitement for Kanthony in Season 3.

'Married Kate is so beautiful. There is a whole new side to Kanthony this year. Seeing them married is so cute. It's adorable. They still have their dynamic, but seeing them married… I think the fans are going to freak,' the Bridgerton star said, and of course, those words alone sent the Kanthony fandom into a frenzy.

After Bridgerton Season 2 ended, many fans were disappointed with how Kate and Anthony's love story was rendered in the season. Because of the creators' tendency to focus on drama, Kanthony's romantic arc became more of a love triangle thing and was deprived of the sweet happy-ever-after moments that viewers were craving fall. In the end, we didn't even get to see the couple's wedding!

Luckily, Simone Ashley promised in the earlier interviews that Season 3 will feature some Kanthony scenes, and now Nicola's words confirm it. What's more, it seems that Nicola is teasing a whole new side of Kanthony, and millions of fans are here for it.

'I'm going to immediately start sobbing at the first glimpse of married Kanthony,' a fan comments on Coughlan's interview.

While Nicola and Simone are single-handedly carrying the Season 3 hype, Netflix still needs to join their efforts and provide at least some information about Bridgerton's next chapter — sneak pics are great, but they're not enough!
