Bridgerton's 5 Hottest Side Characters Fans Can't Stop Obsessing Over
As if we needed another reminder that Bridgerton is a sight to behold.
Much of Bridgerton's appeal undoubtedly comes from its cast. Shonda Rhimes and her Shondaland team certainly have a knack for choosing the best actors to play romantic characters that audiences will love — just think of how taken we all were with Regé-Jean Page's Duke of Hastings and Jonathan Bailey's Anthony Bridgerton when their solo seasons premiered.
But the beauty of Bridgerton is that not only are the main characters perfectly cast, but the side characters are also given attention and a chance to shine. In fact, some of them have even developed their own small fandoms.
Here are five of Bridgerton's sexiest male characters who are not part of the core cast, but have captivated fans on Reddit.
Will Mondrich (Martins Imhangbe)
Though he was originally only a part of Simon Basset's arc, Will Mondrich returned in Season 2 to the delight of many Bridgerton viewers. Yes, the retired boxer has a dark spot in his past, but his help to Colin Bridgerton sent him on a well-deserved journey of redemption. And damn, Martins Imhangbe is a joy to watch on screen.
Yet Another Hint Bridgerton Season 3 to Premiere on December 14
Prince Frederick (Freddie Stroma)
The adorable Prince Frederick is not only a treat for the eyes, but also one of Bridgerton's nicest characters. Unfortunately, he was done dirty. Even though we were all rooting for Daphne Bridgerton to be with Simon, seeing Frederick heartbroken was an extremely sad moment. Hopefully, he and Edwina Sharma can find happiness together in Shondaland's Bridgerverse.
Jack Featherington (Rupert Young)
Uncle Jack may be the series' antagonist and a swindler, but he's definitely pleasant to look at. With his charming features, Rupert Young seems tailor-made for the historical romance genre, playing a reformed rake, a corrupt duke, or an earnest earl.
Theo Sharpe (Calam Lynch)
Eloise Bridgerton's boyfriend from Season 2 is a real cutie with a smile to die for, and he is also a fighter for women's rights. How could fans not fall for someone like that? Theo may not be Eloise's endgame, but the fandom is still hoping to see him in upcoming episodes.
Footman John (Oli Higginson)
Probably the most surprising character on the list is a footman for the Bridgerton family, John. He doesn't even have a last name and was only seen in a few scenes, mostly related to Eloise and her going out in the city unaccompanied. But once you remember him, you'll see why some fans are obsessed with Oli Higginson's hot character and hope to get more footman John scenes in future seasons of Bridgerton.
