Bold & Beautiful Recap: Sheila Left Off the Guest List as Hope Says I Do — Dec. 9
Dec. 9 on The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope’s wedding faces a brutal snub as Sheila is shut out, while Brooke pressures Ridge over Eric’s retirement and the regrets he can’t shake.
Today on The Bold and the Beautiful (Dec. 9, 2025), wedding prep runs headfirst into family politics, and everyone pretends they are fine while very much not being fine. Eric is still stewing over retirement, Ridge is second-guessing himself, and Sheila finds out she is not on the guest list for Hope and Liam's big day. Fun!
Ridge says he did the right thing... probably
Brooke and Ridge start out talking about Hope and Liam's upcoming wedding, but they cannot stop circling back to Eric. Brooke asks the obvious: does Ridge regret forcing Eric to retire? Ridge admits he is not sure he made the right call, but insists he did it because he truly believed it was best for his dad.
Eric hates retirement, misses the work, and softens on Ridge
Donna tries to cheer Eric up by waving around a batch of glowing press about him. It does not land. Eric is still frustrated that his career is suddenly over and now he is questioning whether Ridge actually made the right decision. He also regrets the harsh things he blurted at Ridge in the heat of the moment, acknowledging those words came from raw emotion. Donna reminds him he is still the talent in the room and urges him to show his designs. Eric doubts Ridge wants to see any of it and figures his son is focused solely on his health. They decide to spend time together anyway, and Eric concedes that Ridge is, at the end of the day, just worried about him.
Hope and Liam: excited to marry, not excited about Sheila
Hope and Liam look ahead to a fresh chapter together, but the vibe dips when Sheila comes up. They agree their daughter Beth might not feel comfortable around Sheila. Hope does not buy that Sheila has changed, even if Deacon does. Liam points out that Sheila once saved Steffy's life. Hope nods at that, but still thinks Beth should not be around her. Then Beth shows up, all in on the wedding excitement.
Sheila plans a dress, gets uninvited
Over at Il Giardino HQ, Deacon and Sheila talk about Eric stepping down. Sheila says she is grateful to be with a Forrester she loves — which, yes, is a head-tilter given she is with Deacon and not a Forrester, but that is what she is feeling today. She starts daydreaming about what to wear to Hope's wedding and calls it a big Sharpe moment. Deacon gently reminds her the day is about Hope and Liam. Then he drops the hammer: Sheila is not invited. She is disappointed, but he makes it clear the decision belongs to the couple.
Wedding logistics: who is in, who is out
- Donna and Eric are happy for the bride and groom, but Eric does not want to attend because he expects press and paparazzi chaos. Donna gets it, and they share a hug.
- Brooke assures Ridge he did the right thing with Eric. Ridge appreciates the backup, but he is still wrestling with his choice.
- Sheila is visibly frustrated about the no-invite. Deacon says he tried with Hope, but he will not go against his daughter's wishes. Sheila says she wants their kids — Hope and Finn — to know they are a couple now.
- Meanwhile, Beth's prep work for the ceremony gets love. She is praised as an amazing officiant, which is a surprising twist, but that is where we are.
