Binge These Before They Disappear: Movies Leaving Netflix in December 2025
Last call: Netflix is clearing out a surprising slate of fan favorites in December 2025 as licensing clocks run out—here’s every movie on the chopping block and when to stream them before they vanish.
Netflix is doing its end-of-year shelf clean, which means a bunch of familiar comfort watches are about to vanish. The biggest wave hits on December 1, and it is stacked with franchise staples, 90s favorites, and a few holiday titles that are ironically leaving before the actual holiday. If you were saving something for a festive rewatch, check the dates now and plan accordingly.
Highlights worth flagging: the entire Austin Powers run, the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, Back to the Future Part II, The Goonies, E.T., Inglourious Basterds, Edge of Tomorrow, Paddington, and The Equalizer all leave on day one. Yes, Wonka (2023) is out December 1 too. Also yes, Christmas with the Kranks exits on December 1, because timing is chaos. And if you like to marathon robots at Christmas, the Transformers four-pack rolls out on December 25. One more wrinkle: Netflix is even dropping a couple of its own branded titles this month — Death to 2020 and A California Christmas — which happens when rights deals run out and need renewing.

As usual, this is the licensing shuffle at work — a mix of studio windows, rotating catalog deals, and the occasional curveball where Netflix-branded projects are tied up in outside rights. If any of these are on your to-watch list, you know what to do.
