Netflix packs the week of September 29 to October 5, 2025 with fresh drops, led by Interview with the Vampire Season 2 and Earthquake: Joke Telling Business. The Stan Lathan–directed stand-up special from Nathaniel Stroman lands September 30.

Short week on Netflix, but two very different swings: a veteran comic lighting up the stage, and a blood-soaked gothic drama making its way to the service. Both land the same day, which keeps things simple.

Earthquake: Joke Telling Business (Sept 30)

Netflix is dropping a new stand-up special from Earthquake, the legendary comic also known by his real name, Nathaniel Stroman. It is directed by Stan Lathan, and Earthquake wrote it himself. Expect him to poke at celebrity messes, day-to-day life, current headlines, and romance with the kind of blunt, combustible takes he is known for. In other words: the jokes escalate, and the sparks fly.

Interview with the Vampire Season 2 (Sept 30)

The gothic horror series also known as Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire is coming to Netflix with its second season. Developed by Rolin Jones and based on Anne Rice's novel Interview with the Vampire (from The Vampire Chronicles), the show centers on Louis de Pointe du Lac recounting his life to veteran journalist Daniel Molloy. Louis is a wealthy Black man in 1910s New Orleans turned by the charismatic and dangerous Lestat de Lioncourt, and he spends decades wrestling with what is left of his humanity. Molloy, revisiting an interview he first conducted with Louis back in 1973, starts noticing details that do not line up with the earlier version, which is its own kind of fun.

Season 2 sends Louis and Claudia to Europe chasing answers, dropping them into 1940s Paris and the alluring, predatory Theatre des Vampires. Cast this season includes Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, and Ben Daniels, among others.
