High-profile dramas, cult 2010s sitcoms and hilarious horror comedies.

Apple TV+ has completed its second season of Severance with great fanfare. It seems unbelievable now that Adam Scott, who plays the lead character, Mark, has had only small and episodic roles for a long time.

We tell you how the actor's career has evolved as he confidently joins the ranks of Hollywood stars.

1. Big Little Lies, 2017-2026

Only winners live in this coastal town in California: almost all of them are rich, beautiful and raise perfect children. But it turns out that behind the beautiful facade of luxurious mansions there are dark secrets.

One of these secrets brings together four mothers whose children attend the same school: a local socialite, a housewife, a businesswoman and a young single mother from the middle class.

In the TV series Big Little Lies, Adam Scott played Ed Mackenzie, the husband of Reese Witherspoon's character, Madeline, for two seasons.

2. Flower, 2017

Erica is only 17 years old, but she is already tired of life. Her father is in jail and her mother has a new boyfriend. The girl dreams of helping her father get out of jail, but to do that she has to post bail – $15,000.

And Erica has a plan: together with her friends Kala and Claudine, they seduce men and secretly film their dates in order to blackmail them.

In Max Winkler's drama, Adam Scott appears in one of the most repulsive roles instead of the charming and sweet guy the viewers have become accustomed to.

3. Piranha 3D, 2010

In 2010, the horror comedy Piranha 3D was released, directed by thriller master Alexandre Aja. After an earthquake, an incredibly dangerous species of piranha is discovered in the lake where a resort town is located.

Although the sheriff tries to close access to the water, the town is flooded with tourists who, as usual, do not heed the warnings of the police.

Scott plays the role of the head of the seismological team, and throughout the movie he does nothing but try to convince everyone that they are in great danger.

4. Parks and Recreation, 2009-2015

The mockumentary comedy series about the parks department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana debuted in 2009. Adam Scott's Wyatt was introduced as a recurring character in the second season, but became a main character right up to the finale.

Ben arrives in Pawnee to assess the town's budget and the performance of its officials. A shortfall in the town's coffers forces the auditor to stay in Indiana for a long time, and he eventually becomes imbued with the energy and optimism of the main character, Leslie.

5. The Matador, 2005

The actor's first roles on the big screen allowed him to share the set with A-list stars. In 2006, the black comedy The Matador was released with Pierce Brosnan and Scott's name was in the credits.

The plot tells the story of a failed businessman named Danny who accidentally meets a professional killer named Julian. They develop a friendship that is put to the test when Julian asks Danny to help him with a difficult job.
