Below Deck Med Season 10 Looks Messy as Hell—Who's Hooking Up and Who's Out?

Tensions are already bubbling for Below Deck Med Season 10.
Below Deck Mediterranean is back for Season 10, and if the trailer is any indication, we are not easing in gently. Think loud, messy, a little deliberately b*tchy, and yes, somehow it all wraps with a baby. Let’s talk through what the footage and the cast breadcrumbs are telegraphing — from who might get canned to who might be swapping bunks.
The vibe: loud charters, louder drama
Captain Sandy Yawn is back at the helm, Aesha Scott returns as Chief Stew (prepare your ears for the elongated vowels), and Max Salvador is poised to keep production busy with subtitles. Inside baseball alert: Below Deck editors love a creative caption, and Max gives them material.
What I think is coming
- Possible galley shake-up: New chef Josh Bingham barely pops in the trailer, which is never a great sign. Aesha isn’t following him on social, and he reportedly leans into a clowny alter-ego in at least one confessional. Put that together, and he’s my early pick to get the boot. A Reddit rumor has former fan favorite Dave White swooping back in to rescue the galley. If true, that’s convenient timing — Dave’s newly married, has a baby girl, and charter tips don’t hurt.
- Deck team on thin ice: The trailer points to the deck and galley as the main problem areas this season, not interior. Aesha still appears to follow both of her stews, which is usually a decent sign. But she’s not following deckhands Christian Trimino or Tessa Budd. Reading tea leaves is an inexact science, but if we’re calling potential plank-walkers, those two are in the conversation.
- Hookups galore (again): The mothership Below Deck is catching flak right now for being all hookup sizzle, no yachting steak. Med might be heading that direction too. Stew Kizzi Kitchener arrives with a very clear mission statement: sleep her way through a decent chunk of the boat. The trailer backs that up. Names in play for Kizzi: Josh, Nathan Gallagher, and Max. Victoria SanJuan also appears to have a fling with at least one unidentified crew member, possibly overlapping with Kizzi’s pursuits. Messy? Almost certainly.
- Nathan’s promotion meets reality: Nathan is back as Bosun this time, which sounds great until the waves hit. The edit suggests a rough go as department head and even hints at a possible demotion back to lead deckhand if things don’t stabilize.
- The baby tease, explained: At the start of filming, Nathan was on a break from Gael Cameron, his Season 9 crush. The trailer shows him testing the casual hookup waters and realizing that’s not his lane. Gael pays a brief visit to the yacht, the two reconnect, and their relationship later results in their first child. That’s likely the baby the trailer teases toward the end. Will Gael and Kizzi vibe when their paths cross? I wouldn’t bet on it, but I’ll happily be wrong.
- Interior vs. exterior: Expect Aesha to steady the interior, even if she has to referee a little stew-on-stew drama between Kizzi and Victoria. The chaos mantle looks more like a deck-and-galley problem this year.
The quotes that set the tone
"This past charter season has been one of the toughest times in my entire life. I thought that I was going to come on as a first-time bosun and kill it. Boy, was I wrong."
That’s Nathan in the trailer, not sugarcoating it.
"Get your f*cking sh*t together on this deck. Do you understand?"
And that’s Captain Sandy, also not sugarcoating it. Before that, she reminds the crew her standards are high — which feels like foreshadowing for a rocky deck department.
Bottom line
If the cut of this trailer is honest, the show is leaning into the mayhem: big personalities, bigger mistakes, and hookups that might actually affect the crew dynamic. Aesha should be fine. Nathan and the deck team, plus Chef Josh, are the ones skating on thin ice.
