Ross is a pretty good Bosun and is often praised by the captains for his work. However, he seems to be a terrible person in every way. He has a romance with Katie Glaser, a deckhand and his subordinate. Below Deck's fans unanimously say that her storyline is sheer creepiness.

Moreover, at thirty-eight years of age (the word "old" seems so wrong in this context), Ross is a mess of a man. He obviously has a drinking problem. From the way he treats the women around him, he seems to be a sex addict. Add to that his constant exposure to the sun, and you can say that Ross is not going to age gracefully.

Which is a shame, considering he is at the age to settle down. In fact, Below Deck's fans are telling him to do just that, or it will not end well for him. In other words, the clock is ticking.

Others think it's a blessing in disguise that McHarg doesn't have a family and is unlikely to ever have one. He is immature and narcissistic. He wouldn't be able to take care of children if he needed care himself. If Ross, as he is, had children, it would be a complete disaster with several broken lives, Below Deck's fans believe.

While Ross still has time to change and settle down, the chances of that happening are slim as season 10 comes to a close. On the bright side, fans of the show are expressing their happiness at not having to see him again.
