Below Deck Cast to Appear on Project Runway All Stars (Captain Lee's Returning!)
The crossover we didn't expect but desperately needed.
Just over a month ago, Season 10 of the fan-favorite reality series about the intrepid sailors of a superyacht chartering the Caribbean came to an end.
No one expected the charismatic and witty Captain Lee Rosbach to leave the show at the beginning of the season due to health issues, but unfortunately, that is what happened — much to the chagrin of fans.
While Lee has been replaced by the equally competent and talented Captain Sandy Yawn, it doesn't mean we'll never see the beloved OG Captain on screen again. Actually, it has been revealed that Rosbach, Yawn, and the rest of the Season 10 team will appear as cameos in a format we weren't expecting.
The Below Deck cast members are going to star in a fashion show! Yes, you heard right!
Besides Below Deck, another popular reality series on Bravo is Project Runway, where fashion designers compete to create the best clothes and looks. As evidenced by the trailer released on May 8, the show is returning to Bravo after more than a year-long hiatus, and it will feature the cast of Below Deck as models.
While everyone was expecting the seafarers to appear in numerous Below Deck spin-offs, this twist of fate has taken many fans by surprise. Of course, they are not likely to become permanent cast members on the fashion show, but seeing their favorite stars as models in at least one of the challenges would be really heartwarming for fans. Perhaps Project Runway will feature a nautical theme this time?
In fact, Bravo's fashion show is going to give one more nod to the Caribbean charter series this season. It has been reported that Kate Chastain, who was a chief stewardess on Below Deck from Seasons 2 to 7, will be invited as a guest judge. Naturally, fans are dying to see her judge her fellow cast members and Captain Lee himself — it would be a huge missed opportunity if Kate doesn't get to do that!
Season 11 of the original Below Deck won't be out until later this year, but as we mentioned, it will not feature Captain Lee. In the meantime, we can see our favorite sailors and Lee Rosbach in Project Runway Season 20 — two episodes of the show will air on June 15.
