Marvel Rivals just kicked off its first Black Friday sale, and what you buy—and when—can make or break your cosmetic savings. Deals are live now through Dec 1 at 4 PM PT, so shop smart and move fast.

Marvel Rivals is running its first Black Friday sale right now, and it is not the kind of click-and-forget discount. The whole thing is built around coupons that power up with each purchase, so the order you buy in actually matters. If you want the best deal, you need a plan.

Sale window (set your timers)

The sale kicked off November 27 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET and wraps on December 1 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. When that clock hits zero, any unspent coupons evaporate.

"Our first Black Friday sale is here! Score an initial 20% off select items. Every eligible purchase earns you a discount coupon. Use your coupon, and get another that offers a bigger discount than the last. Stack those savings like Infinity Stones!"

- Marvel Rivals on X, Nov 26, 2025

What actually qualifies (and what doesn’t)

  • Eligible: All Season 3 bundles and individual cosmetics; Season 2 and Season 1 items still in rotation; older collaboration skins (MCU tie-ins, promo outfits); character accessories, sprays, and nameplates from those eligible seasons.
  • Not eligible: Anything from Season 4 (October 2025 drops, including the Daredevil and Angela skins); anything from Season 5 (November releases, including Gambit skins like his Epic); utility items such as Rename Cards and Holy Ankhs (the Marvel Zombies mode consumable).

How the coupon ladder works

Each time you buy something that’s part of the sale, you get a coupon for your next purchase. That next coupon is better than the last. Community testing (NetEase hasn’t posted official numbers) shows a pattern like this:

First purchase: about 20% off. Second: roughly 25%. Third: around 30%. Fourth and beyond: up to 33%.

Discount tiers can wobble a bit based on rarity. Players are seeing Legendary bundles nudge the percentage slightly higher than Epic skins, but your mileage may vary.

The big catch (and an easy mistake)

Coupons only apply to eligible stuff. You can buy a full-price Season 4 or 5 item and still earn a coupon from that transaction, but you cannot spend that coupon on another non-eligible item. It has to go toward Season 3 content or earlier.

Strategy if you’re spending

This system rewards patience. It’s tempting to immediately slap that first 20% coupon on your priciest target, but you get more juice by climbing the ladder first. Example: on a 2,200 Unit bundle, 20% off saves you 440 Units. If you instead wait for a 30% coupon, you’re saving 660 Units on that same bundle. That’s a real difference.

Bottom line: snag a cheaper eligible item or two to level up your coupon, then hit the expensive bundle once the discount gets into the 30% range. Yes, it’s giving a bit of Temu vibes, but it works if you play it right.

Daily Deals: the side hustle

There’s also a Daily Deal track running alongside the sale. Once you either make any eligible purchase or spend a total of 600 Units during the event, you unlock a rotating skin each day at an ultra-low price. A few rules:

- The Daily Deal refreshes every 24 hours whether you buy it or not.

- You cannot stack coupons on top of a Daily Deal. It’s already discounted; no double-dipping.

Hard stop at the buzzer

Every coupon dies the moment the event ends on December 1 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. No carryover, no post-sale grace period.

Quick recap

If you’re grabbing anything, remember: only Seasons 1-3 and older collabs are actually discounted; newer Season 4 and 5 drops (like Daredevil, Angela, and Gambit’s November skins) stay full price. Buy eligible items to climb the coupon ladder, save your big purchase for the higher tiers, and treat Daily Deals as their own thing. It’s a little fussy, but if you plot your order, you’ll actually stack those savings like, well, Infinity Stones.
