Fox’s Baywatch reboot doubles down on influencer star power, adding 13-million-follower standout Livvy Dunne to its growing roster of internet celebs.

Baywatch is back, and Fox is clearly loading the cast with big online followings. The latest addition: Livvy Dunne, who is swapping the balance beam for a rescue can and making her on-camera acting debut.

Livvy Dunne hits the beach

Dunne has joined the Baywatch reboot in a recurring role as Grace, a super-enthusiastic junior lifeguard who lives for the job. It is her first acting gig after a high-profile run in gymnastics and a modeling stint that includes Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. She brings a serious audience with her too — more than 13 million followers across social media.

From LSU to the tower

Before this, the 23-year-old competed for LSU, earned a call-up to the U.S. Junior Women’s National Team, and popped up in the docuseries The Money Game: LSU, which tracked several LSU Tiger student-athletes. She has been open about plotting a move into film and TV, taking acting classes and mapping out next steps after retiring from artistic gymnastics in April 2025. Now here we are.

Who else is in the lineup

Fox has already been tapping the influencer pipeline, and Dunne is joining a cast that blends familiar faces with big online names. David Chokachi is back as Cody Madison from the original series, which is a nice deep-cut pull for longtime fans.

  • Stephen Amell leads the series as Hobie Buchannon
  • Jessica Belkin plays Hobie’s daughter, Charlie
  • Hassie Harrison and Thaddeus LaGrone are onboard in supporting roles
  • David Chokachi reprises Cody Madison
  • Brooks Nader and Noah Beck join from the influencer world
  • Livvy Dunne recurs as Grace, a junior lifeguard

So what’s the story this time?

The reboot centers on a rebellious Hobie Buchannon (Amell) stepping into his family legacy by captaining the elite lifeguard division, following in the footsteps of his father, Mitch Buchannon (yes, David Hasselhoff’s iconic role). The personal wrinkle: Hobie reconnects with his daughter Charlie (Belkin), who is dead set on carrying the Buchannon name forward. That dynamic — legacy vs. independence — feels like the emotional engine under all the sun, surf, and slow-motion rescues.

When to expect it

Fox is eyeing the 2026–2027 season for the premiere. Plenty of time to train, tan, and figure out how many slow-mo runs are too many. (Trick question. There is no such number.)
