Battlefield 6 is almost here, roaring back with a full near-future campaign and all-out mayhem. As hype surges around new mechanics, we’ve rounded up the essentials you need before you deploy.

Battlefield 6 is almost here, and yes, we are fully prepared to sprint back into the mayhem. This time, unlike 2042, DICE brought back a proper single-player campaign set in the near future. If you like chasing 100% completion (or just want to know what chaos you’re signing up for), here’s every trophy and achievement, what they ask of you, and when you can actually play.

What’s new, when it’s out, and where you can play

Battlefield 6 launches worldwide on October 10, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The big headline: Specialists are out. The series is going back to the classic four-class setup — Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon — so squad roles should actually matter again. Portal is in the mix too, which should make the sandbox even weirder (in a good way).

If you care about trophies: there are 42 in total (20 bronze, 10 silver, 3 gold, and 9 hidden), plus one extra platinum for finishing the lot. Several of these reference specific campaign missions, so consider this your friendly warning: mild mission-spoiler territory ahead. Also, keep an eye on the oddly specific numbers — 1996 revives, 2042 repair damage — the devs clearly had some fun with those.

Final thought

Between the near-future campaign and the return to real roles, this feels like Battlefield trying to be Battlefield again. If you’re hunting trophies, there’s a healthy mix of campaign stunts, class grind, and a few cheeky nods for the veterans. See you on October 10.
