Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Runtime Revealed — What It Signals for the Next MCU Epic
Avengers: Doomsday’s trailer runtime is out, as the Russo Brothers’ MCU return races through post and targets U.S. theaters in a little over a year, with Avengers: Secret Wars queued up next.
Marvel finally put a number on when we get to see Avengers: Doomsday in motion, and it comes with a tiny surprise: the first teaser is short, specific, and riding shotgun with James Cameron.
The teaser: when and how long
The debut teaser for Avengers: Doomsday is attached to James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash (aka Avatar 3), which hits theaters on December 19, 2025. Whether Marvel drops the teaser online the same day is still TBD.
The runtime just turned up via the Korea Media Rating Board, which clocked the teaser at a very compact:
1 minute and 25 seconds
So, 85 seconds. Enough for logos, a tone-setter, and one last-shot stinger. Manage your expectations accordingly.
Where the movie is in the pipeline
Avengers: Doomsday is in post-production with Joe and Anthony Russo back behind the camera. It opens in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. The follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, is slated for 2027.
Fun bit of timing: Disney pairing a Marvel teaser with Cameron's Avatar 3 is as studio-synergistic as it gets. Also, the fact that the trailer length surfaced first through a Korean ratings board is one of those industry quirks that never stops being oddly useful.
