ARC Raiders: Stop Wasting Time—Fastest Ways to Farm Sentinel Firing Cores
Stuck at Gunsmith Level 2 in ARC Raiders? The Sentinel Firing Core is the choke point—here’s where turret-type Sentinels actually spawn and how to farm their drop fast to craft Mechanical Components and hit Level 3.
If you are wondering why everyone in ARC Raiders keeps hunting those cranky rooftop turrets, here is the deal: you need Sentinel Firing Cores to push your Gunsmith workstation to Level 3 and to craft parts like Mechanical Components. The fastest way to get them is exactly what it sounds like: drop Sentinels, scoop the cores, repeat.
What you are actually farming
Sentinels are turret-type ARC units. They do not have plating, but they make up for it with nasty range and Heavy Ammo that chews through you if you get cocky. They usually camp out on rooftops and ledges, which is annoying for you and great for them.
How to delete a Sentinel without getting mulched
Play it smart. Get to cover, peek, and aim for the yellow canister on the turret’s arm. Hitting that weak point ends the fight quickly. When it pops, watch where the pieces fly. Cores can clatter off the roof and land somewhere dumb, so track the debris and grab the drop before you move on. Spawn points shuffle a lot, so do a full sweep of the area between kills.
Where to farm Sentinel Firing Cores
- Dam Battlegrounds (best overall): Make this your home base for farming. Check the Research & Administration buildings, Pipeline Tower, and the Floodgates. Sentinels are typically perched on top of structures here, so be ready for long sightlines and falling parts.
- ARC Couriers (no-turret option): If you would rather not fight Sentinels, you can still get the cores from ARC Couriers. Look for black smoke coming from a small machine and follow it. These show up at spots like Victory Ridge, Electrical Substation, and Testing Annex.
Heads-up: winter has rolled into ARC Raiders
Embark just flipped on a seasonal update that changes how the map feels to play. The new Cold Snap modifier covers big chunks of the world in snow and ice. It is not just a vibe shift either: staying out in the cold drains your health, so every detour suddenly matters.
There is also the Candleberry Banquet project, which is exactly what it sounds like: collect candleberries to cash in for extra rewards. On top of that, the Flickering Flames event acts like a festive battle pass with 25 levels. You will need Merit to progress, and you earn that by running Raids.
Short version: gear up warm, head to Dam Battlegrounds, pop that yellow canister, and do not forget to look down to actually pick up the core you worked for.
