Apple TV+ is loading Wild Things with new talent, the Jude Law and Andrew Garfield-led limited drama based on the Apple Original Podcast that dives into Siegfried & Roy, the white tiger showmen.

Apple TV+ is loading up its Siegfried & Roy series, Wild Things, with more familiar faces. Jude Law and Andrew Garfield are already leading the show as the legendary Vegas duo, and now three more names just joined the ensemble: Justin Bartha, Cameron Britton, and Bill Heck.

What Wild Things is actually about

This is an eight-episode limited series inspired by the Apple Original Podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy. Creator, writer, and executive producer John Hoffman (Only Murders in the Building) is steering the ship, with Matt Shakman directing the pilot. The show tracks Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn as they try to reinvent Las Vegas as a family destination while blurring the line between spectacle and reality. It is very much about the high-wire act onstage and off.

'Wild Things' tells the wild ride relationship tale of showman-magicians Siegfried and Roy, who, along with their white tigers, are tasked with turning Sin City into a family-friendly destination. The duo pushes the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme, personally and professionally, until tragedy reframes and opens a mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show.

The cast so far

Law plays Siegfried; Garfield plays Roy. The bench behind them is getting deep, and yes, the roles are specific where we have them and intentionally vague where we don’t.

  • Jude Law as Siegfried Fischbacher
  • Andrew Garfield as Roy Horn
  • Justin Theroux as Steve Wynn, the Mirage Hotel owner
  • Jessica Madsen as Lynette Chappell, a friend and collaborator
  • Brett Gelman as Bernie Yuman, their longtime manager
  • Justin Bartha as Ken Feld
  • Cameron Britton as David Neal
  • Bill Heck as Jimmy Lavery
  • Darius Fraser as Toney Mitchell, a dancer in the Siegfried & Roy show

The real-life turn that defines the story

Siegfried and Roy weren’t just stage legends; their shows with white tigers were Vegas institutions. That changed in 2003 when Mantacore, one of their tigers, attacked Roy during a performance and critically injured him. The act never returned to full strength and the pair officially retired in 2010. Expect the series to build toward that night and the ripple effects after.

Who is making it and where it stands

Hoffman is creating and writing, with Law and Garfield also serving as executive producers alongside Brian Grazer, Tony Leondis, Kathy Ciric, Will Malnati, and Steven Leckart. Shakman is on the pilot. It is an Apple TV+ original, eight episodes, and filming kicked off this fall. No release date yet, but Apple clearly wants a glossy, prestige crowd-pleaser here.

Quick timeline clean-up

The project first surfaced back in 2022. Apple officially unveiled the limited series and its lead casting earlier this year, and now we are getting the ongoing cast additions as production rolls.
