Ana de Armas might be lining up a screen share with Cameron Diaz. The project is called 'Reenactment,' it already has Benicio del Toro on board, and Grant Singer is directing. Why this lineup makes sense
Diaz only recently jumped back into acting after a decade away, returning with 'Back in Action.' Pairing her with del Toro and de Armas feels like a deliberate swing for a high-profile, character-forward thriller or drama (that is me reading the tea leaves — the logline is still secret). Singer coming off a buzzy streaming hit helps, too.
Where everyone is coming from
De Armas, an Oscar nominee for 'Blonde,' just led the 'John Wick' spinoff 'Ballerina,' which is slated for June 2025. She also turned up in Ron Howard's 'Eden,' which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
