American Idol Finale Predictions: Who's Going to Win Season 21?
The Top 3 candidates to win the show this year.
During its 21 years' run, American Idol has seen a lot of different contestants, and many of them proved their worth and immense talent to the audience and the music industry. As the current 21st season of the show is coming to an end, fans are trying to guess who the next American Idol is going to be.
At the moment, there are eight singers left on the show, but only one of them will emerge victorious out of Season 21. Here are our top-three predictions.
Wé Ani
A powerhouse of a vocalist, Wé Ani has startled everybody with her performances since the beginning of this season. She is natural in front of the camera and on the stage and gives off Jennifer Hudson vibes. Wé is an absolute fan favorite and definitely deserves a winning place in American Idol 2023. Even if she finishes third this season, Wé can still have a great career as a singer or actress.
Iam Tongi
With his heart-warming voice, Iam Tongi has the potential to win American Idol. However, he is more likely to be the runner-up this year. Despite being generally loved by the audience and the judges, his voice isn't as versatile as, say, Megan Danielle's. Nevertheless, many fans find Iam's relaxed insular style very appealing, so it shouldn't take you by surprise if one day he sells millions of records.
Megan Danielle
Many believe Megan Danielle will most probably win this season of American Idol. There are numerous reasons for that. Firstly, she has had her story nicely told throughout the show. We have seen her grow personally and artistically, which creates a bond between her and the audience and judges.
Consequently, Megan is more relatable than many other contestants this year. What's more, she has pretty versatile vocals and can take on different genres. But most importantly, she is a perfect country singer, the next Carrie Underwood, who's capable of selling out arenas. And given that American Idol has been traditionally biased in favor of this particular genre, Danielle seems to have more chances of winning than the other contestants.
But besides these three singers, there are a lot more contestants still in the competition right now — Colin Stough, Haven Madison, Oliver Steele, Warren Peay, and Zachariah Smith have not been eliminated, and there are several more episodes of this season left. The next one airs on May 7 on ABC.
