Participation in big-budget DC Extended Universe movies under contract spanning several years and an offer to become a global ambassador for L'Oréal Paris all indicated that the actress was on the up and up. Just think about it: between 2013 and 2019, according to Celebrity Net Worth, she made $10 million, including from her multi-million dollar deal to appear in DCEU's Aquaman films, as well as the $1.8 million she got for the TV adaptation of Stephen King's novel, The Stand.

Although this amount is significantly less, as CNW noted, her net worth before the verdict was estimated at $2.5 million, so the cost of the lawsuits and subsequent payments would have left her practically a pauper.
