The Amazing Race 38 hit overdrive on October 8, 2025, as teams blitzed the Czech Republic with beer-bottling and punishing plow challenges — and after the dust settled, newlyweds Megan and Matt were sent home.

The Amazing Race finally hit the gas this week. Episode 3 of Season 38, which aired October 8, 2025, blew through the Czech Republic, mixed in some cleverly mean tasks, and ended with a rough goodbye for the newlyweds. Here is how it shook out.

Where the leg went and what they had to do

Teams were in the Czech Republic, and the first big swing was a beer-bottling Roadblock. One teammate had to fill bottles at a station and, in Megan and Matt's case, they were assigned two full crates to get through. It sounds simple, but in Race time, extra crates equal extra minutes, and extra minutes usually equal trouble.

After the bottling, everyone drove to Nové Dvory to track down the next clue at Kostel sv. Anny. There, the show got delightfully old-school: one teammate literally pulled a plow through a field while the other steered and guided until they uncovered the next clue. From there, teams were handed a coin featuring Kačina Château in Svatý Mikuláš, which pointed them to the Pit Stop at the château.

Megan and Matt's bad day

If you were hoping the newlyweds would stabilize after last week, not this time. They struggled with navigation out of the gate and rolled up to the first Roadblock near the back. The two-crate assignment at the beer station did them no favors, and they never recovered the gap. After giving it a full push through the plow task, they still checked in last and were eliminated. That leaves 10 teams still in the race.

Who topped the mat

  • Leg winners: Natalie Negrotti and Stephanie Negrotti
  • 2nd place: Jag and Jas Bains
  • 3rd place: Tucker and Eric Des Lauriers
  • Eliminated: Megan and Matt (the newlyweds)
