An unverified online post allegedly from a Brazilian cinema employee claims Avengers: Doomsday already has a 1:47 teaser—the only unlocked cut so far, with two more trailers still encrypted—stoking fresh buzz as hints of new footage begin to surface.

Marvel rumor mill time: an alleged description of the first Avengers: Doomsday teaser is bouncing around online, supposedly posted by a movie theater employee in Brazil. It lands right as word spreads that Marvel might be rolling out multiple Doomsday teasers in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash. Convenient timing? Very.

The alleged teaser (if it exists) at a glance

The post claims a 1 minute, 47 second teaser, and says it is the only unlocked trailer at the moment while two others are still encrypted. The description reads like a greatest-hits tour of the multiverse and then some: sweeping galaxy shots narrated by Reed Richards, a nod to Franklin Richards, the X-Mansion on fire, and Pedro Pascal’s Reed inside the Baxter Building picking up a distress call from Loki. Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.) pops up in Latveria without saying a word. The TVA is shown in ruins. Magneto gets overwhelmed. Sentinels make an appearance. And the tag? Reed throwing down with Bucky Barnes.

None of this has been confirmed by Marvel. Still, it is an oddly specific list to show up right as talk of a very particular trailer plan is heating up.

Fans are split, and they are loud

The reaction online ranges from cautious curiosity to total eye-roll. One person pointed out that a Brazil approval reportedly happened a day or two ago, so a local employee might have seen something. Others flat-out call it fake, with some dunking on the idea that anyone would basically identify their workplace while leaking. Another commenter mocked a typo in the write-up, joking about "Marvel Medical music." And a few folks reached for the tech manual, arguing the security alone makes this unlikely.

"These things are locked behind a tamper-proof access key and only go live on Avatar’s premiere day. Try to open an encrypted file early and Disney gets pinged within seconds."

About that four-teaser rollout

This is where the timing starts to look a little too neat. The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter says Marvel is prepping not one but four different Doomsday teasers, each exclusive to theaters and rotating weekly during the first month of Avatar: Fire and Ash. Translation: if you want to see them all, you’d be watching Avatar four times in four weeks. Each supposedly runs around 80 to 90 seconds, with the following dates on the board:

  • Teaser 1: Dec 18, 2025 (80–90 seconds)
  • Teaser 2: Dec 25, 2025 (80–90 seconds)
  • Teaser 3: Jan 1, 2026 (80–90 seconds)
  • Teaser 4: Jan 8, 2026 (80–90 seconds)

If true, that’s a very distribution-nerdy stunt, and extremely Marvel/Disney: controlled, eventized, and built to juice theatrical foot traffic.

First look chatter and the cast pile-up

Separate from the leak drama, insider Daniel Ritchman says an official first look is set to play only in theaters with Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19. That would fit Disney’s habit of pairing big franchise trailers with box office steamrollers, and Fire and Ash is expected to dominate. It would also be a smart time for Marvel to steady the ship after a rough patch at the box office, especially with Robert Downey Jr. stepping in as Doctor Doom.

Doomsday is stacked: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., plus the Fantastic Four lineup of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. Returning X-Men faces include Patrick Stewart and Alan Cumming. There are also reports pointing to appearances from Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, and Ryan Reynolds, with more rumored around the edges.

So…real or fan fiction?

The alleged teaser description is ambitious. Maybe too ambitious. The specifics could mean someone saw something legit, or it’s a very detailed wish list. Add in Marvel’s notoriously tight marketing lockdown and those claims about encrypted files, and skepticism is fair. Either way, curiosity is spiking at exactly the moment Disney would want eyeballs on Avatar screens.

Dates to keep an eye on

Avengers: Doomsday is slated for theaters on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars following in 2027. If the four-teaser plan holds, the Avatar window starts December 18, 2025. Buckle up.
