These flicks are impossible to sit through to the end.

When we go to the movies, we expect to be rewarded with an exciting pastime for the money we spend on a ticket. But unfortunately, some movies tend to disappoint within the first few minutes and cause the audience to walk out of the theater long before the credits roll.

Fans on Reddit shared five films that were so boring that moviegoers simply had no choice but to leave and never see the rest of the story.

7. Satantango (1994)

Experimental cinema provides plenty of material for deep philosophical reflection, and the Hungarian movie Satantango does just that. However, the film runs for an insane 7.5 hours, and let's face it, not many people can sit still for that long.

6. One Night Stand (1997)

Mike Figgis is one of Hollywood's most unorthodox filmmakers, but his experiments are not always well received by audiences. Even though One Night Stand featured a star-studded cast, the script and direction were so dull that not all moviegoers were able to sit through it to the end.

'I hated the film One Night Stand so much that I walked out, which is saying something as I am paraplegic,' a Redditor wrote ironically.

5. Rollerball (2002)

The 1975 Rollerball was not the best example of the sci-fi genre, but it was a very dynamic, high-speed action flick. But do you remember the 2002 remake starring Chris Klein? It's not surprising if you don't, as it was one of the most lackluster movies of its time.

4. Disaster Movie (2008)

Parody movies are a hit-or-miss business. Scary Movie and its sequels became a true cinematic phenomenon, while Disaster Movie, written and directed by the same team, was indeed a real disaster, all because of its forced pop culture references and lame jokes.

3. Green Lantern (2011)

When it comes to DC superhero movies, Warner Bros. either delivers a masterpiece or an absolute flop. This trend was already in place in the 2000s and 2010s, and Green Lantern was unfortunately an example of the latter. Even Ryan Reynolds' acting couldn't compensate for the terrible script and visual effects.

2. Dirty Grandpa (2016)

Robert De Niro is one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, but he has had his fair share of dull movies since the 2000s. A typical example is Dirty Grandpa, which only dishonors the great actor's legacy.

1. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

A recent example of how not to make movies (or rather, how not to write scripts) is Multiverse of Madness. The inconsistent and forced plot, with Wanda acting completely out of character, caused many viewers to leave the theater early.
