7 Actors Who'd Be Better Than Taylor Lautner as Jacob in Twilight TV Series
Who would you choose?
Reboots are all the rage right now, so it was only a matter of time before Twilight got in on the action.
So far, there's no official word on casting, but we've come up with seven actors who would be great as Jacob Black:
7. Martin Sensmeier
While he may be best known for playing a variety of Native American characters, Sensmeier has a diverse filmography that includes action and sci-fi. He would bring something different to the role, adding depth and complexity.
6. Brandon Perea
Perea put in a superb performance as Alfonso Sosa in The OA. He brought layers of complexity to the role that would fit right in with Jacob's character. However, he is pretty busy at the moment and has already committed to several projects that may prevent him from taking on the role of Jacob. But if schedules can be made to work, he would be an interesting choice.
5. D'Pharoah Woon-a-Tai
Still relatively new to the scene, Woon-a-Tai is best known for his portrayal of Bear Smallhill in Reservation Dogs. In his short career so far, he's shown versatility, and the role of Jacob Black is one that he could bring something unique and interesting to.
4. Kevin Alves
A former figure skater, Alves has been nominated for several acting awards since changing careers. His brooding performance as Travis Martinez in Yellowjackets must have made the showrunners sit up and take notice.
3. Drew Ray Tanner
Tanner's standout role to date has been that of Fangs Fogarty on Riverdale. Initially a recurring character, Fangs has become a series regular. Tanner brings charisma and energy to the role, which could make for a very interesting take on Jacob in Twilight.
2. Xolo Maridueña
Maridueña's breakout performance as Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai showed everything you'd want in a new-look Jacob Black. In this role and as Blue Beetle, he has brought charisma and physicality to the screen that shows he has what it takes for the Twilight reboot.
1. Dakota Beavers
Dakota Beavers looks the part. Whether that's what casting directors are looking for remains to be seen, but he would bring an element of continuity to the role. His performance as Taabe in Prey was one that had a cool, quiet presence that was strong and commanding.
