These moments are so cringeworthy, they make you want to crawl under the table.

The Office has become a cult series thanks to its amazing slice-of-life atmosphere that satirizes the work environment. Of all the employees of the ridiculously named Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, Michael Scott stands out as the most ridiculous character — the epitome of an eccentric boss.

Not surprisingly, Michael is the catalyst behind many of the show's most hilarious scenes, some of which border on cringeworthy. Here are six such moments from The Office that are just unbearable in their ridiculousness.

6. Dinner Party

The 'Dinner Party' episode is one of the most memorable, plunging you deep into the atmosphere of awkward family gatherings. However, the characters probably didn't regret joining the party organized by Michael and Jen — because it turned out to be pure farce!

First, Jim, Pam, Andy, and Angela learn that Jen controls Michael in pretty much every aspect of his life, and then Dwight bursts into the party to wreak havoc in the apartment.

5. Date Mike

Despite his eccentricity, Michael can be very suave. But not when he discovers someone is romantically interested in him.

In the episode 'Happy Hour,' Jim and Pam decide to ask Michael out on a double date with their friend without telling their boss that it's a date. When he discovers the truth, Michael's alter ego, Date Mike, goes into overdrive, making both the characters and the audience extremely uncomfortable.

4. Phyllis' Wedding

The World's Best Boss often acts like an infantile jerk, which makes his scenes funny yet unbearable. For example, at Phyllis' wedding, when Michael was asked to lead her father down the aisle in a wheelchair, he suddenly feels that he should walk the bride to the altar himself, interrupting the ceremony.

3. Diwali

When Michael is rejected by Carol during the Diwali celebration, Pam acts supportive and tries to cheer him up a bit. But, misreading the situation, Michael attempts to kiss her. Awful cringe!

2. Scott's Tots

One of The Office's most excruciating moments was when Michael had to confess to the students, who literally worshiped him for promising to pay their tuition, that he actually had no money to do so.

1. Diversity Day

After Michael inappropriately parodied Chris Rock and expressed all the racist stereotypes about Black people you can possibly think of, the Dunder Mifflin management decided to educate their employees. But the jealous regional boss decided to have his own diversity day, where he continued to make fun of people of color.
