After seven seasons on the air, Riverdale's rollercoaster ride has come to an end. With all of its ups and downs, twists and turns, the series' finale left some viewers disoriented and confused. And if you feel that some plot holes were left unexplained, you are not alone.
In fact, there are at least six storylines that fans felt were left hanging after the finale.
Has the entire Riverdale universe been transported back to the 50s?
At the end of Season 6, Tabitha worked her magic to weave all the different Riverdale timelines and multiverses into a single path, transporting everyone back to 1955.
While Season 7 focused on the original gang, fans have been waiting for a few cameos from the characters of Riverdale's many spin-offs. Did Katy Keene and Sabrina end up in the past as well? We'll never know.
At the beginning of the season, Jughead is the only one with a memory of what happened in the past (or rather, the future). But it was never explained why it was him. Is it because he was Tabitha's boyfriend and connected to her in some way? The show doesn't address the question at all.
What does 'bend towards justice' mean?
Before taking his memory, Tabitha told Jughead about the timeline collapse and gave him a clue about how to save Riverdale. 'Bend towards justice' is what he was able to remember. That phrase felt very important at the time.
However, it doesn't seem to have had any effect on the plot of the season, so fans are still wondering what exactly it could mean.
Is Cheryl still a witch?
In Season 6, Cheryl is revealed to be a witch. But in the finale, she has a successful career as a painter and lives happily with Toni. Does that mean she is no longer a witch? There's no answer to this.
Is Baby Anthony just gone?
One of the characters whose fate fans expected to see in the Riverdale finale was Baby Anthony. The show had the opportunity to give him a normal life by, for example, making him the child of Fangs and Midge. However, it was revealed that the couple only had a daughter. Poor Anthony seems to have just disappeared.
Where or when is Tabitha?
It didn't take viewers long to fall in love with Riverdale's guardian angel Tabitha, but she left Season 7 early and was almost completely absent from its episodes. More than that, her arc ended abruptly after she gave everyone their memories back. What happened to her? Fans still wonder.
