Taylor Sheridan has a thing for baddies.

Yellowstone has some redeemable qualities amid all the madness. Sure, a fair amount of the characters are nasty, selfish, and cruel. Despite it, there are also a few decent people on the cast or at least one redeemable character.

Discover five Yellowstone characters that are impossible to root for and one character that actually deserves the love and appreciation of fans, according to Redditors:

#1 John Dutton

John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is the lead star of the most popular show on television. Be that as it may, the patriarch of the family is also not known as being that quality of a guy. For starters, John is extremely narcissistic and willing to stampede anyone seeking to get in his way.

In many regards, John is seen as the “bad guy” because his ancestors took the land from Native Americans generations ago. However, that is usually secondary to the heat he receives from Redditors for being a bad parent, or human in general.

#2 Beth Dutton

Beth Dutton is easily the most beloved or despised character on Yellowstone, depending on your perspective. Some regard Beth as a rugged, no-nonsense character that is a supreme example of a strong, independent woman. However, others simply find her unbearable.

Regardless of your opinion, most Redditors agree that Beth falls short of being likable on Yellowstone. She displays very few endearing characteristics and is renowned for seeking vengeance on anyone, including her step-brother Jamie (Wes Bentley).

We’ll put it this way, Redditors had less than appealing remarks for the character, including some words that we cannot publish in this article.

#3 Rip Wheeler

Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) is the loving, faithful husband of the royal pain in the a** known as Beth Dutton. In many regards, Rip supplements the lack of respect and care most viewers have for Beth.

In fact, Rip is very popular with the ladies and overall seen as a decent, well-intended guy.

Notwithstanding, it fails to address the fact that no one on Yellowstone has killed more people than Rip. He’s not only a cold-hearted killer, but extremely impressionable, which is why he’s always serving as John or Beth’s lap dog.

#4 Monica Dutton

Ah, poor Monica (Kelsey Asbille). She started out with the potential to be one of the few likable characters in the Dutton family but ended up being as hated as anyone else on Yellowstone.

Monica may have a kind heart and good intentions, however, she’s often labeled as a hypocrite. Furthermore, Monica funnels a lot of drama on her own and gave birth to a child, Tate, that is arguably one of the least-liked children on television. There is really no hope in saving this character at this point in time.

#5 Kayce Dutton

Kayce (Luke Grimes) appears to offer something different from the rest of the Duttons. Unfortunately, that has done little to leave an impression over five seasons on Yellowstone. Sure, Kayce comes across as a nice guy - but that also makes him indecisive.

He’s never been able to fully make up his mind and commit to Monica and his family or continue to serve his father like Rip does so well. Therefore, Kayce always seems to be lingering on the sidelines, and that drives some fans crazy. “Boring” is a label many Redditors attribute to Kayce Dutton.

And finally, Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) features all the qualities that make him a target. He’s loyal and obedient yet often too soft and gullible to understand how he’s getting manipulated by his own kin.

Now, he’s got a new woman that is encouraging him to play the role of the bad boy among the Dutton clan. As a result, Jamie may or may not go through with the threats regarding his adopted father and step-sister.

Nevertheless, fans will continue to root for him as the only redeemable character on Yellowstone. “I don’t believe he deserves the treatment he receives from John and Beth,” a Redditor commented.
