One of the LGBTQ+ characters who could have lived longer was witch Luke Parker, who died after unsuccessfully merging with his sibling Kai. Fans wish the writers had at least given Luke a love arc before killing him off.

Mason Lockwood

The werewolf and uncle to Tyler Lockwood only lasted one season, and many viewers feel he died way too soon. Mason was one of the most handsome characters on the show and had great chemistry with both female and male co-stars. Fans wish they could have seen more of the frenemy dynamic between him and Damon.

Sheila Bennett

Another character that fans feel should have been given more screen time is Sheila Bennett aka Grams, who was a powerful witch and Bonnie Bennett's grandmother. Kai Parker
