A thriller about a hijacked plane, a suspenseful detective story about a serial killer, and an unusual audio series about time anomalies.

Six years ago, the popularity of streaming services prompted Apple to create its own streaming, Apple TV+. Initially, the service's original projects failed to garner critical acclaim, but over time it began to earn coveted Emmy statuettes.

1. Shining Girls, 2022

Failed journalist Kirby survived an attack by a madman that left horrific scars on her stomach. Six years later, a murder occurs in the city: the body of a woman with similar wounds is found.

Kirby realizes that she is the victim of a serial killer. To find out the truth, she teams up with seasoned reporter Dan Velazquez to write an article about what happened.

2. The Afterparty, 2022-2023

Tragedy strikes at a high school reunion party when the most successful classmate falls to his death from a balcony. Detective Danner arrives on the scene to interview witnesses and uncover the truth.

Suspects include awkward Aniq, bored Zoe, brutal Brett, dreamy Yasper, desperate Chelsea, inconspicuous Walt, and several other people in the house. Each has their own version of what happened. It soon becomes clear that anyone could have killed the arrogant pop idol.

3. Servant, 2019-2023

Sean and Dorothy live in an upscale Philadelphia neighborhood. On the surface, their marriage seems perfect: he works as a chef, she has a career in television and recently became a mother.

The couple is struggling to come to terms with the death of their three-month-old baby. Heartbroken, Dorothy can't get over the loss. The only thing that helps her cope with the pain of loss is a hyper-realistic doll that she nurses as if it were a real child.

Substitution therapy goes too far when the couple hires a young nanny, Leanne, to care for the doll. With the arrival of a servant in the house, all sorts of strange things begin to happen.

4. Calls, 2021

For those who like something unusual, we recommend the mystical audio thriller Calls, made in the format of radio plays.

Each episode is a telephone conversation set against an abstract video sequence. The unifying element of all the series is the idea of space-time paradoxes leading to terrible deaths and the apocalypse.

Due to a mysterious breakdown in mobile communications, the main characters find themselves in frightening situations: a man receives a call from his lover, who is sleeping next to him; a girl calls her long-dead mother to warn her of danger.

5. Hijack, 2023-2025

An action-packed thriller starring Idris Elba as a negotiator trying to rescue the passengers and crew of a hijacked plane.

Finding himself on board among the hostages, the man decides to take control of the situation. His strategy is to gain the trust of the armed hijackers and find a way to outwit them through diplomacy.
