There seems to be no way back.

The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta began with a flashback clip from Season 4, which made it clear once and for all that the show is completely done with one of its longest-running cast members, NeNe Leakes. The thing is, NeNe was completely erased from those flashbacks, which felt like a huge slap in the face to the reality star's massive fan base.

NeNe's fans agree that she should not return to the show in the future, and the producers' attempt to get rid of her legacy is not the only reason for that. Here are five more reasons why the star should say a definitive goodbye to RHOA.

NeNe wasn't happy on RHOA after 11 seasons

NeNe was a part of the reality show for 11 seasons, from 2008 to 2020. She took a break in 2016 but returned and served as a main cast member for three more seasons. By the end of her run, NeNe was not happy on the project, which fans could tell by her emotional state and demeanor. Eleven years is a long time for anyone, so why get involved in something that doesn't make you happy anymore?

NeNe felt she had outgrown RHOA

Although she was a huge part of RHOA's success and rose to stardom thanks to the show, fans noticed that NeNe was getting a little too big for her boots. She landed new movie and theater roles, appeared on many TV shows, and started numerous businesses. It's a natural process for a star to outgrow a project that made them famous, and leaving it for good is a logical step to make.

NeNe alienated the other original castmates

When NeNe returned to RHOA after a hiatus in Season 10, she became much more mean-spirited than before. It couldn't help but affect her relationship with her longtime castmates. Another return would only complicate things for everyone and bring disaster that some RHOA stars don't deserve.

There's an outrageous history involved

Last year, NeNe sued Bravo, NBC, and Andy Cohen for racial discrimination and complained about Kim Zolciak's behavior on the set of RHOA. According to her, the original cast member had been acting racist for years, but NeNe was told to keep quiet about it.

Eventually, the lawsuit was dismissed, and the settlement seems to be taking place out of the public eye. But is there really a way back after such a scandal?

NeNe needs to heal and move on

With all the drama described above, fans are sure that NeNe needs to put RHOA behind her, take time to heal, and then move on. Any TV show will be lucky to have NeNe on board, and her huge army of fans will follow the star wherever she goes.
