Even though they have been eliminated, they will continue to shine as stars.

The current season of the reality competition American Idol is approaching its finale, which means fewer contestants remain on stage.

The last episode was arguably one of the most intense of the season, as the entire nation voted to determine who would advance through one of the crucial stages and into the Top 10.

After incredibly powerful and moving performances in which each of the twelve contestants poured their hearts into their songs, only ten moved on to the next stage. To the disappointment of some and the delight of others, Nutsa and Lucy Love were eliminated. But why did the USA give them significantly fewer votes?

5. Nutsa's stage persona

It's worth noting that Nutsa is already a popular singer in her home country of Georgia. She won X Factor Georgia in 2015, competed in The Voice Turkey, and even attempted to make it to Eurovision 2017. All of this has led fans to perceive her as 'arrogant.'

Although the judges clearly favoured her, she incorporated too many theatrics into her performances, ultimately preventing people from seeing her raw talent.

4. Lucy makes too many fancy moves

Lucy Love is an incredibly talented performer, but like Nutsa, she tries too hard to please the audience. Despite her strong voice, she goes too far to put on a show and add extraneous elements to her performances, often overwhelming the average viewer.

3. Nutsa is not the wrong performer for the target audience (Unlike country singers)

The truth is, most of the time, the audience prefers country singers, while Nutsa aims to be a true pop diva. Unfortunately, no matter how beautiful her voice is, her choice of songs by Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Tina Turner doesn't resonate with the bulk of the show's audience as much.

2. Lucy has chosen the wrong songs

The primary drawback turning viewers away from Lucy is her choice of songs. Although her voice is incredibly powerful, tracks by Bob Dylan, Tina Turner, and Imagine Dragons do not match her timbre and personality, regardless of her artistic flair.

1. They are both talented but need more experience

Despite Nutsa's extensive performance experience and Lucy's seemingly natural stage presence, the judges frequently offered suggestions for improvement, indicating that both still had plenty of room for improvement.

Even though both singers didn't make it into the Top 10, they are sure to have bright futures as stars, and we wish them the best of luck while continuing to support them. As for the remaining ten contestants, we'll see the results tonight, 1 May, at 8 p.m. EST.
