The fourth season of Stranger Things was a huge hit with fans; the stakes were raised to the hilt, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats throughout the entire season.

The season also introduced us to the lovable rebel and metalhead, Eddie.

Fans have loved him since his first appearance in Season four and hope to see him again next season, even if it takes a miracle to bring him back. Joseph Quinn, the actor who played Eddi, is profoundly appreciative of the fans’ warm welcome.

5. Quinn Acknowledges Fan Artists

Some of the first people the actor thanked were the fan artists who drew the scene with Eddie on the roof of the trailer.

'It's amazing. The fan art aspect of it is so touching; the fact that it means so much to so many people. And that's amazing. I don't know how to express it, but it's crazy,' he said gratefully.

4. Happy Fans Liked Eddie

The actor is not used to having so much attention but is incredibly happy to appear at various events.

'It's very touching to see people respond how they have to Eddie. I did not predict that. That’s very warming,' Quinn shared.

3. Brought to Tears by Fans

Speaking of events. When the actor attended the London Film and Comic Con last year, the organisers didn't expect such a massive turnout, so there were long lines to meet him.

The next day, some fans thanked him for coming and apologised for having caused the organisers to resort to yelling. Such warm words literally made Quinn cry.

Looking back on the event later, the actor said, 'I don't want to sound too saccharine about it, but it is moving. If you have a curiosity about people and storytelling, for a character you’ve created with the help of others… for that to resonate with people, it feels very profound, you know?' Well, in turn, we’re grateful to Quinn for infusing Eddie with such depth.

And so Joseph Quinn received a well-deserved award for Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Of course, he couldn't help but thank the ST fandom!

'I think the fact that these awards are voted for by the fans makes this feel especially sweet, and I owe a lot to you. I’ve had some amazing experiences over the last year, none of which would have happened without your support. So I am incredibly grateful for you.
