These are classic and breakthrough episodes that are definitely worth rewatching.

Netflix has released the fourth season of the animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots, which turned out to be the worst season in the show's history. Here are the five best episodes to help you forget the disappointing season.

1. Three Robots – Season 1 Episode 2

In the distant future, humanity has finally destroyed itself. The apocalypse has come and life, as we know it, no longer exists on the planet.

Three robots, each with a different form and function, embark on an expedition to the ruins of cities where people once lived. The androids mock the extinct civilization, take photos, and encounter cats.

This episode is both funny and an important warning about humanity's carelessness and irresponsibility.

2. Zime Blue – Season 1 Episode 14

Zima is the most respected and greatest artist of our time. He has been at the zenith of his fame for decades.

Initially, Zima painted traditional pictures. Then, he moved on to cosmic canvases, and geometric blue figures began to appear in his work. Zima spent many years perfecting his signature shade of blue.

There is more and more blue on his canvases, and he has become a recluse. He calls a journalist to reveal his secret and describe what awaits viewers at his next exhibition.

3. Jibaro – Season 3 Episode 9

Sixteenth century. Conquistadors in heavy armor wander through the forest. The knights stop on the shore of a lake and hear a strange call. A siren emerges from the water and beckons to the conquistadors.

They start dancing and are drawn to the pond. Because of their heavy armor, however, they all end up at the bottom of the lake. Only the deaf conquistador is not drawn in by the siren's charms, but he cannot leave the forest peacefully either.

The knight either falls in love with the girl or the sorceress finds a way to get into the unfortunate man's head.

4. The Witness – Season 1 Episode 3

Modern Hong Kong. A stripper sees a man with a knife and blood on his face in a building across the street. Believing that she has witnessed a murder, the girl runs away. A man chases her through the streets of the metropolis.

The Witness is a masterpiece of visual art. It's a detective story, an action movie, and a thriller set in a futuristic world. The episode was directed by Alberto Mielgo, the Oscar-winning director who worked on the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

5. The Drowned Giant – Season 2 Episode 8

The body of a giant washes up on the shore of a British village. No one can explain where the enormous corpse came from. It quickly becomes a place of pilgrimage for both scientists and onlookers.

Professor Stephen also arrives to take a closer look at the giant. Over the course of several days, the scientist returns to the body and records the changes that occur.

People take pictures with the giant. Limbs are cut off as trophies. The flesh gradually turns pale. After a few days, only the skeleton remains on the shore.
