5 Biggest Takeaways From And Just Like That Season 2 Trailer Tease
They've tried to give us at least one big surprise in the teaser.
HBO Max's official teaser trailer for And Just Like That… Season 2 has been released on Youtube recently. And sure thing, it does tease us. Though it's just a minute and a half long, the video contains a number of important takeaways regarding the upcoming season, which is expected for release this June.
Check out our list of the five biggest takeaways from the new And Just Like That trailer.
Aidan makes a comeback
First thing first, the trailer makes it quite obvious that Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) is back. Moreover, he now seems to be the romantic endgame of the show's main character Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). This is by far the trailer's most significant revelation, which took some fans by surprise, although many have anticipated the development from the moment Carrie's husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth), suffered a fatal heart attack.
Miranda stays with Che
The trailer also clearly teases a continuation of romance between Miranda and Che, so viewers can expect more of their story shown in Season 2.
Unfortunately, many fans were disappointed by this, arguing that they'd rather like to see what happens to Steve after his breakup with Miranda (even though the storyline, frankly, screwed both of their characters).
Kids are not the writers' strength
Another important takeaway from this trailer is that there will be children characters in Season 2, and they are a disappointment once again. Clearly, it seems like none of the scriptwriters have kids or have communicated with teenagers in the recent past.
As one of the fans on Reddit observed, 'I feel like all the kids on this show are written by aliens,' and this really sums up the point. Unfortunately, the teenage children's antics in Season 2 promise to be somewhat obnoxious.
Che will continue to displease
And speaking of obnoxious behavior — it does not look like Che is going to tone it down, apparently. No one seems to like Che, not even the fans who applaud inclusion and Miranda's sexual freedom, as her choice of partner just seems wrong to viewers.
Sex and the City vibes
But to end the list on a positive note, the trailer seems to promise a return to the fun days of Sex and the City, in terms of the season's overall tone. It looks like fans are in for a lighthearted and joyful ride with their beloved characters this upcoming season.
Hopefully, Season 2 itself lives up to that promise — and we'll find out pretty soon, as it's expected to premiere in June.
