2 Popular Singers Joining 9-1-1: Nashville Cast List

The 9-1-1 franchise is expanding again, because apparently there are still corners of America where emergency services haven't been fully dramatized yet.
The latest spin-off, 9-1-1: Nashville, is currently in production and set to hit ABC this fall. And in what might be the most on-the-nose casting decision in recent memory, the show is adding not one, but two popular singers to its roster.
First up is LeAnn Rimes, who's apparently trading country charts for firehouse drama. According to Variety, Rimes is joining the series as a series regular. While her exact role hasn't been revealed yet, the implication is clear: if there's a way to shoehorn her vocal cords into a plot about burning buildings and emotional trauma, they'll find it.
Rimes, who became famous at 13 with the single Blue, has two Grammy Awards and a résumé full of country hits — plus a few acting credits, including Coyote Ugly and some made-for-TV holiday fare. She's also married to actor Eddie Cibrian, in case they need stunt casting down the road.
The second singer stepping into the 9-1-1 universe is Hailey Kilgore, who'll be playing Taylor, a firefighter described as "an incredible singer". Kilgore is best known for her Tony-nominated role in Once on This Island, and more recently for Power Book III: Raising Kanan. In this case, at least they're not pretending her singing talent is just a bonus — it's baked into the character, possibly so they can squeeze in a performance every time someone gets trapped in a burning concert venue.
This all fits neatly into the series' official pitch:
"A high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America's most diverse and dynamic cities."
For those keeping track, here's the rest of the announced cast:
- Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider with secrets (obviously).
- Jessica Capshaw as Don's wife. Their son Ryan is also a main character.
- Kimberly Williams-Paisley — role not yet revealed.
- Michael Provost as Ryan, a "modern-day cowboy and firefighter."
- Juani Feliz as Roxie, a former trauma surgeon with a thrill-seeking streak.
- Hunter McVey as Blue, a haunted bad boy firefighter (because every show needs one).
No premiere date yet, but it's slated for fall 2025. Until then, brace yourself for a lot of promo shots with firetrucks, emotional stares, and maybe a duet or two between emergency calls.
