The actor who played the awkward father of the family has a wide range of roles under his belt but is currently on a hiatus. Burrell's highest rated projects include The Incredible Hulk and Muppets Most Wanted.

Julie Bowen (Claire Dunphy)

The actress just finished starring in Boston Legal in 2008 before she took the role in Modern Family as the family's mother Claire. Most recently, Bowen executive produced Disney Plus' Prom Pact, released on March 31.

Sarah Hyland (Haley Dunphy)

Hyland was only 18 when she landed the role as Phil and Claire's rebellious daughter Haley. The actress has been starring in Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin since 2022, and her most recently released project is the rom-com My Fake Boyfriend.

Ariel Winter (Alex Dunphy)

Winter began portraying Alex, the smart middle daughter, at 11. During her work on Modern Family, she also did voice acting for various animated series, including Sofia the First.

Nolan Gould (Luke Dunphy)

After starring in Modern Family as dumb little brother Luke, Gound landed roles in TV series What's Up North and, most notably, Grey's Anatomy. His most recent project is biographical crime drama Miranda's Victim, released in February of this year.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitch Pritchett)

Before portraying Claire's gay younger brother on Modern Family, Ferguson had numerous episodic roles in movies and TV series. Recently, he starred in 2022's High School Musical reboot and 2023's comedy horror Cocaine Bear.

Eric Stonestreet (Cameron Tucker)

Prior to starring in Modern Family, Stonestreet had episodic roles on hit shows like Malcolm in the Middle, The Mentalist, and NCIS. Like his co-star Ariel Winter, he did voice-overs for Sofia the First and also guest-starred on America's Got Talent in 2020.

Sofía Vergara (Gloria Delgado-Pritchett)

The Colombian-born actress and model made cameo appearances on Baywatch and Dancing with the Stars before starring in Modern Family. She's worked as a judge on America's Got Talent since 2020 and is currently producing the crime drama Griselda.

Ed O'Neill (Jay Pritchett)

Ed O'Neill is best known for his role as Al Bundy on the cult sitcom Married… with Children. The 77-year-old star is largely retired today, as his last project, the comedy-drama The Last Shift, came out in 2020.

Rico Rodriguez (Manny Delgado)

The child actor had supporting roles in the series iCarly, NCIS, and 2007's Epic Movie before landing a role in Modern Family. Rodriguez appeared in 2011's The Muppets and has done a lot of voice acting.
